WASHINGTON/SEOUL -- A senior U.S. official said Wednesday that the leaders of Japan and South Korea deserve the Nobel Peace Prize for the courage they showed in rebuilding their bilateral relations.
Speaking at the Hudson Institute, a conservative Washington think tank, Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell said the rapprochement between Tokyo and Seoul is the thing that holds the "greatest hope and promise" in the period ahead.
