BANGKOK/YANGON -- Myanmar's anti-military armed forces staged drone attacks on military facilities in Naypyitaw on Thursday, highlighting that the frontline of resistance groups is closing in on the Myanmar capital.

Over a dozen drones are believed to have been deployed in the attack. "Two of the aircraft exploded in the air before reaching their targets," the state-run Global New Light of Myanmar daily said on Friday. And "13 of the aircraft that crashed to the ground after being intercepted were seized."
