NEW YORK -- With Hong Kong's new national security law taking effect Saturday, companies face more uncertainty over what it means for the international financial hub, with some seeing it as just one risk of doing business in China.

Known as Article 23, the law was unanimously passed on Tuesday and expands upon previous legislation with new offenses encompassing "external" interference and endangering national security.
